The LBGT PA Caucus Speakers Bureau supports the LBGT PA Caucus mission with evidence-based educational presentations focused on sexual and gender minority(SGM) health. The Bureau includes award-winning speakers with international, national, state, and local experience. Their flagship presentation "Advanced Sexual and Gender Minority Health: Cases in Clinical and Preventive Medicine" explores complicated cases of patients of diverse backgrounds beyond that of a LGBT 101 session. Each speaker carries a portfolio of additional presentations in accordance with their education, training, and, knowledge. Audiences range from local and community presentations to international CME conferences. The speakers maintain a dedication to the PA profession and their sexual and gender minority community.
In conjunction with the LBGT PA Education Committee, the Bureau is working to develop curriculum for PA programs including recommendations, resources, and content for the inclusion of SGM education throughout PA education. The project is expected to develop materials starting in 2020.
